According to a new survey, London remains the most desirable metropolitan destination for computer professionals looking to go overseas.

The survey, which polled over 10,000 IT employees around the world, revealed that London is the most desired city to relocate to for 12% of those considering it, with Singapore in second place attracting 10% of those interested, and Amsterdam in third place.

According to the poll, which was conducted by Boston Consulting Group and The Network, a global alliance of employment websites, as many as 40% of digital professionals are actively job-hunting at the present, with a startling 75% expecting to leave their current positions in the next 2-3 years. However, the proportion of people prepared to relocate for employment has dropped to 55% of all respondents, down from 67% in a comparable study in 2018.

Nearly 70% of employees answered they would prefer to work from home

However, 68 percent stated they would be delighted to work remotely for an organization without a physical presence in their native country, reflecting the workplace shifts brought on by the Covid-19 epidemic.

The United States appealed to 18% of these employees, while the United Kingdom appealed to 13%, followed by Australia, Germany, and Canada.
